The Hays HGC II is the ultimate in low cost; lightweight all purpose Geiger Counters. The Geiger tube is securely mounted in a carefully designed lightweight probe, which is provided with an adjustable beta shield. It is ideal for all prospecting applications including close analyses, probing crevices, checking ore and other uses. The accurate calibration of the HGC II on all three ranges makes it very satisfactory as a laboratory instrument, for industrial monitoring and for use as a civil defense monitor in decontamination procedures. The HGC II has all the features of the HGC I plus the detachable probe.
